Our last cruise was on the Yellow Water Billabong at the end of Jim Jim Creek on the South Alligator River in Kakadu National Park. There were lots of crocs as you see on this video but also fantastic bird life and surprise, surprise, not a canoeist in sight.

OK, Back to our trip. We arrived in Katherine in the Northern Territory and took another cruise, this time on one of the best gorges in Australia, Katherine Gorge. This was my favourite gorge. See if you agree:There are lots of kayakers in the gorge, even though there are also lots of crocodiles sharing the gorge. I guess, every now and again, they just have to paddle extremely fast.....

Here are some more shots from the Courier Mail of yesterday's dust storm.
We are presently busy cleaning the house of the fine dust that got into the house even though we had all the doors and windows shut.
But today, the sun is shining in a clear blue sky.

We interrupt our travels to show some photos of the biggest dust storm we have ever experienced. The dust storm that left Sydney a bright orange and caused misery for airline passengers earlier today has now settled on Brisbane and is spreading across the state. Here are some pictures:
