Among the crocodiles on Yellow Water Billabong

Our last cruise was on the Yellow Water Billabong at the end of Jim Jim Creek on the South Alligator River in Kakadu National Park. There were lots of crocs as you see on this video but also fantastic bird life and surprise, surprise, not a canoeist in sight.

  2. It is so much cooler watching it in my study than on the boat, but it was magic. I wasn't scared of the crocs I had confidence in the guides.

  3. I would have loved taking that ride. I like crocodiles. The first time I ever saw them in their own wildlife was in Florida. You'd see them crossing the highway ... everywhere. However. It cured me from wanting to ever live in Florida. No thanks. Not to say that's any difference from finding a rattlesnake curled up in your back yard some mornings in AZ.

  5. I somehow prefer crocs from rattlesnakes, Lucy. At least crocs you can see and have a chance to avoid. Not sure about snakes, though.
