Back in L.A.

We are back in Los Angeles with Sonya, Bernie and Fox. We fly home tomorrow night.

We went to the Apple Store in Hollywood where we bought the iPad before we left for New York. They fixed it so now I can post blogs with the iPad, so we'll need to do the trip again.

Diane in the helicopter flying into Grand Canyon.

Flying over the Colorado River Nevada

It was an amazing trip. We travelled 6,687 km from New York to L.A. Through the heartland of the United States and we saw some amazing things.

My blog is now over but I'm sure Diane will post more details on her blog when we get home, so stay tuned and thanks for watching and commenting.

  1. Bill!!!!

I think the Squadron Leader Diane would be best advised to watch where she is going - not gawking at her co-pilot!
Pretty snazzy having a champagne lunch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon!
Just remember - warm clothes on the plane for the return flight.

  2. That's a good idea. Do the trip all over again. I'm sure there are some things you missed, but I can't imagine what!
Bon voyage as you head home.

  3. How wonderful that you're back in LA. So many adventures. Never been up in a helicopter and look forward to hearing all about it when Diane starts up her blog again. Have a great time with your family and a good flight back home.

  4. You also shared some amazing photos with the rest of us, hope you have a great flight home.

  5. Many thanks Bill for the effort that you put into your trip for viewers - I enjoyed every part. Now as you say, over to the Squadron Leader, Diane, and a hard act to follow!
Hope you have a great time with Bernie, Sonya and young Fox!
Just as well you got out of Minnesota when you did, have you checked the situation there at the moment???? Thank God, I saw that state when it was GREAT!
I'll post to you when you return the news bulletin - certainly not for this blog.
Hope QF are on time for you, no Chilean volcano smoke here anymore. Safe travels.

PS: Should I salute Squadron Leader Diane when next we eat?????
