We're Heading North

Today, Diane's cousin Charles will pick us up and drive north to San Luis Obispo where he and his wife Lois live. We'll stay overnight with them before heading further north to Yosemite National Park for the next few days.

San Luis Obispo
San Luis Obispo is located midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. SLO, as it is refered to by locals has been described as 'the happiest city in America' by Oprah Winfrey and the National Geographic book 'Thrive' by Dan Buettner.

  2. Gosh I didn't know that about SLO! But I do know that we have enjoyed visiting there. Have a marvelous time.

Also, Bill, I have a blogger friend in Salt Lake City who would love to meet Diane and you if there is time when you stop there on your tour. She saw my blog post of June 13 about meeting Diane. Let me know if you are interested and I'll try to put you in touch with her. It may not be till after the 19th of June that I can do that.

  3. Enjoyed your Disney post about Diane's cousin's son giving you a tour. Back in the mid 80's we lived half an hour away from Disneyland. We had a LOT of visitors in those two years, all very welcome of course and I can't remember how many times we went heard that song, "It's a small, small world."

  6. SLO is one of those "best kept secrets" towns...and the university there was my second choice for college.

  7. Stupid auto correct. That is "love to meet you", not torment you!
