  1. Hi Bill, Hope you all enjoyed Bryce. It was George's and my very favorite place from our trip --with the Rocky Mtn. National Park as 2nd choice. The Grand Canyon was great --but WAY too many people there for us.

We went to Cedar Breaks and saw tons of snow... ALSO--went through Cedar City while on our way to Kolob Canyon.

    Have fun.

  2. As I mentioned before, the blog posts are a day ahead. We just arrived in Salt Lake City, have a shower and go to a Mormon place for dinner. First dress-up since we left New York. I knew we brought sone nice clobber for a reason. Then we're going to hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehearsing. Can't wait for that, I love Choirs and that one is world famous.

We too heard that a hiker was killed by a grizzly bear in Yellowstone yesterday. Makes you think how close I came to one yesterday.

  3. Wow. You guys and Betsy and George and I were all in Bryce within just a few days of each other. We really should have planned something.

  4. Hi Bill
Well you lived to tell a tale, maybe the bear didn't like your looks - ha ha!
The report is in all todays newspapers here.
    This on the website:
"Grizzly bear free after fatal attack.
A grizzly bear that mauled a 57-year-old hiker to death in Yellowstone National Park was only defending its cubs and had not threatened humans before. So park officials have decided to leave it alone to wander the backcountry."

So are you still singing with great gusto - "The Teddy Bears Picnic"!!!!!! ???
"When you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise etc."
Oh to have seen you at the gallop, can't wait for the verbal report when you return.

    Cheers
    Colin (HB)

  5. Bryce is a great national park and another one of my favorites. Were you able to take a walk on one of the trails there?

  6. No Eileen, for the first time on this trip it was raining when the bus stopped, so we quickly took some pictures and returned to the bus.

Just been to Sizzlers for dinner and guess what? No alcohol. Then I remembered, we're in Utah.

  7. Also at the next table was an elderly chap with his three wives. The Gene Pool was awfully thin at that table, but fun to watch.
