Another very exciting day here in Los Angeles. Today we had a cultural day, visiting the Getty Centre on a hill overlooking the city. It was quite an experience, especially fighting our way through LA traffic. I always thought Brisbane traffic was bad but boy, oh boy, there are a lot of cars here in this city.

The Getty Centre is just full of original paintings too numerous to mention and entrance is free. We also saw the special Cuba exhibition of photos. It was very interesting.
Oh yes, Los Angeles traffic is a nightmare. I won't drive there, but my young brother and his wife got used to it when they lived there for a few years.
ReplyDeleteI love the Van Gogh painting, and Monet's snow is so real. What a treat to see these.
Fox sure is a precious little fella. He probably wished he was back at the button-pushing place, though.

I thought LA was in the midst of summer. What is with all the jackets?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great lookin' family!!
ReplyDeleteJulie, when we got thre it was overcast and quite windy and a little cool for a couple of Queenslanders.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got to see the Getty Center! The Getty Villa in Malibu is another interesting museum...patterned after a Roman villa of ancient days.
ReplyDeleteWe Southern Californians have always called this weather our "June gloom."
Beautiful pictures of the paintings and of you all. I remember even in the 90th the traffic in Los Angeles was a nightmare !
ReplyDeleteLovely shots from the Getty Center. I really like the family photo. Little Fox looks so cute.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're getting time to blog as you go! I love the family shot!! WISH we cloud be there too!!
