We have arrived in Los Angeles and are staying with our daughter Sonya, her husband Bernie and grandson Fox at their home in Hollywood. We'll be here a few days before we'll visit my cousin and her husband in San Diego next Monday.

ReplyDeleteThe restaurant/bar of that rotates, doesn't it? In the 1970's whilst awaiting my flight back to Australia, I had a stopover on the trip from MSP at Las Vegas, for reasons unknown, everyone had to leave this flight and so we went into the terminal, where God forbid there were many poker machines. I won a heap. The flight was called again for departure, so with a very big popcorn container, I took my "quarters" to the cashier for notes. No way! Either leave them or take them. I boarded the flight to LAX with my container. Got rather strange looks for the flight attendants!
At LAX, as my luggage had been booked straight through to Sydney, I went to this place to dine and imbibe and paid the startled bar attendants and waiters in "quarters"! ( Even tipped in quarters!)
Try this stunt on your way home! ha ha.
